Daisy is a Financial Aid Counselor at the Office of Financial Aid. She graduated with a Bachelor’s in Human Development and Family Studies with a minor in Spanish. Daisy values the fruitfulness and story of each person she interacts with and is a strong believer in the positive impacts of mentoring and networking. Daisy is a proud alumna of TRIO programs such as Upward Bound at Colorado State University, therefore her professional and undergraduate experience range from mentoring students within TRIO and first year undergraduate programs. Along with that she has had experience working with Latino/a/x families within the non-profit sector and providing them access to the outdoor world by breaking barriers that come across access to the outdoors. Daisy’s passion for providing funds of knowledge to first-generation students and families who come from underrepresented communities has risen from her own experiences of navigating through the world of the unexpected and unknowns of education and career exploration.
Daisy is passionate about working and helping individuals meet their goals by providing intentional resource or tip that will take them to their step in life. She was fortunate enough to meet supportive people during her time at CSU which is where her passion flourished and why she enjoys working in higher education. Outside of work, Daisy likes to go hiking (anything outdoors), running, reading, trying new foods, and spending time with family and friends
