The Colorado Coalition for the Educational Advancement of Latinos (CoCEAL) would like to invite students from your high school to participate in this year’s Rising Latino Scholars Forum (RLSF), formerly the 2014 Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities Youth Leadership Development Forum which served over 750 high school students from throughout the state last October. Metropolitan State University Denver and Colorado State University – Pueblo will be our host sites for the RLSF
This one-day program is designed to motivate students to begin formulating their educational goals beyond high school. Students will attend various interactive presentations on Values, Leadership and Cultural Awareness, and Student Life. Many of our state higher education institutions will be in attendance for a College Fair as well. We are also pleased to be able to offer a separate session for school personnel this year on how to best provide support to Latino students interested in pursuing a college education.
