Sydney Pedregon (she/her/hers) currently serves as the Director for the Office of Student Life at Community College of Aurora (CCA). Previously, Sydney served as a COSI Grant Coordinator for the Community for Excellence at Colorado State University. Sydney was born and raised in Colorado and grew up in Commerce City, Colorado. She is a proud community college graduate of Front Range Community College where she received her Associate of General Studies in (2015). From there, Sydney went on to receive her Bachelor of Science from Colorado State University (2015) and Master of Arts from the University of Northern Colorado in Higher Education Student Affairs Leadership (2019). During Sydney’s five years of service in student affairs and higher education, she has focused on creating inclusive spaces and advocating for the needs of diverse students, particularly when it comes to removing and reducing barriers for students of color and dismantling spaces rooted in whiteness. Sydney is a current member of the Colorado Coalition for the Educational Advancement of Latinxs (CoCEAL) and serves on the CCA’s LGBTQ+ Task Force, Black Lives Matter Task Force, Hispanic Serving Institute Committee, and the Latinx Faculty/ Staff Association. Outside of work, she enjoys bike rides, camping, kayaking, spending time with her puppies, and re-watching Grey’s Anatomy every chance she gets.
