Andrea Rascón (she/her/ella) serves as the program coordinator and alumni success advisor with KPP Forward – KIPP Colorado Schools. She oversees the Puentes Scholarship – a grant program that provides financial support and wrap-around services for students with DACA/Undocumented status. Being from Grand Junction, CO, she earned her B.S. in Human Services from the University of Northern Colorado and M.S. in Higher Education from Penn State University. Her previous experiences include student engagement and leadership, educational equity, empowering womxn of color, and facilitation around leadership and social justice. She has earned completion credentials for LifeBound Coaching, CCA’s Inclusive Excellence Champion training, Effective Teaching Practices for the Association of College and University Educators and has also served as a cluster facilitator for LeaderShape’s LatinX Institute as well as UNCO’s Catalyst Social Justice Retreat. Andrea has dedicated her career to decolonizing and building comunidad in higher ed that carries into supporting QTBIPOC students and staff on campuses. Outside of work, she loves spending time con su familia and puppy, all the home DIY projects, and listening to 90s R&B on repeat.
