Reydesel “Rey” Salvidrez Rodríguez (He/Him/El) was born in Chihuahua, Mexico. He migrated to the U.S. with his mixed status family as a child and has been living in Denver, CO for the last 20 years. Thanks to DACA and ASSET, he was able to acquire an associate degree in Business from the Community College of Denver and a bachelor’s degree in Ethnic Studies and Communications from the University of Colorado Denver. During his undergraduate years he spent most of his time advocating for education rights and inclusiveness of undocumented students on campus. Rey is currently a Graduate Student pursuing Master’s degree in Higher Education at the University of Denver (DU) with an assistantship at Metropolitan State University of Denver in the Office of Orientation, Transition and Retention. Currently, Rey serves as Inclusive Excellence chair for College of Education Student Association (COESA), where he wants to focus on bringing Latinx and immigrant experience navigating higher education system.
